Şef Fikret Özdemir
Fikret Ozdemir has more than 12 years working experience at the world's one of the leading brands; Marriott International. He worked at different hotels, Marriott Hotel Frankfurt, Lisbon Marriott Hotel and Hamburg Marriott Hotel. Now he is sharing his hospitality experience and knowledge at Istanbul Marriott Hotel Asia.
Executive Chef Fikret Ozdemir is 41 years old, has been recently transferred to Turkey's first 'Marriott' Hotel. Our new chef who is an expert in international cuisine has Turkish and Portuguese citizenship. He speaks Turkish, German, Portuguese, French, English, Italian and Spanish languages.
Fikret Ozdemir is married and has one child. He started his career at Switzerland after graduation. With his different experiences in food and beverage sector, he began to progress in this field. Due to his great interest in cooking, he decided to study 'gastronomy' for 18 months in Belfort, France. After his graduation in 1993, he worked as a cook at Frankfurt Marriott Hotel. In 2001 he was transferred to Lisbon Marriott Hotel from Frankfurt as kitchen chef. After that, he was transferred to Hamburg in 2003.
Within this period of time, he added a value to many events and served VIP guests and top business executives such as former president of Turkey Ahmet Nejdet Sezer, NATO headquarters, the officers and partners and some well-known football teams.
Besides all, Fikret Ozdemir supported all Marriott Hotel brands specifically in their pre-opening stages, special organizations and festivals. Such as:

(In 2005, with contributions of Portugal Embassy and Lisbon Marriott Hotel, he presented his special reflecting International and Portuguese Culture at Bebek Hotel, Istanbul. In 2006, he was the chef of the Food Festival at JW Marriott Mumbai Hotel, India).
In August 2007, he shared 'Marriott Core Values and Principles' with Istanbul Marriott Hotel Asia kitchen team for three weeks in the pre-opening stage. Since he has been sharing all his experiences at the beginning, it seems that we have the chance to learn from his experiences for a long period of time.
Fikret Ozdemir is now using his experience of International Cuisine in his home country. Using new and unusual ingredients of Latin American and Portuguese cuisine, he creates his own culinary style and he continues to contribute to Turkish Tourism and Gastronomy. |
